The Hudson Bay pattern of this 5160 grade allow steel axe head is forged for strength and long lasting toughness. The edge of this 3 pound axe head is tempered to rockwell hardness of 50-54. It is built to hold a sharp edge without becoming brittle.

The 24 inch handle is made from A grade American Hickory wood. The handle comes with a Linseed oil coating for added protection. This axe comes with a leather sheath made with premium leather and closes with a buckle.
