Usually Ships Within 24 Hours! This tomahawk kit comes standard with our 16" throwing tomahawks. These tomahawks are best suited for young scouters under 13 years or so because they are much smaller than the standard 19" tomahawks in both length and overall weight of the tomahawk head. If you are looking for throwing tomahawks for mature scouts that are able to throw a little bit of weight, the larger package of 19" throwing tomahawks are best suited for them. The 19 inch tomahawks are about 1.7 pounds each and are perfect for most youth ages 14 and older.
Note: The tomahawk head is unsecured from the handle. This is done on purpose for two reasons. The first being that our experience is that a pinned or otherwise secured head breaks easier. The second is for you being able to customize and interchange handles to your liking.
About the Throwing Tomahawks: At 16 inches in length and about 1lb you get the perfect throwing tomahawk for scouts. The upgraded 19" tomahawks are over 1.7 lbs and are ideal for throwers that are a little older. In other words, if you are looking for good hawks for scouts 14 years old and older, go with the larger package of 19" hawks (link below). About the Tomahawk Handles: Each of our tomahawk handles are made from USA straight grain hickory, sanded until smooth, and given a unique & thin wax coat finish for a secure grip & extreme durability under the toughest of conditions.
